Annesha
Foundation (AF) is a national NGO in Bangladesh founded
in 1989 with the purpose of empowering the most
disadvantaged and marginalized poor people. It has
passed two decades by serving people for lifting them
out of extreme poverty and improving their lifestyle In
the journey of serving people AF faced various
impediments but always stands behind the destitute
people and will remain.
Annesha Foundation works in
10 districts of Bangladesh covering 1,003 villages, 172
Unions/words and 22 Upazilas through 35 branch offices
and the present beneficiaries are 23,474. Income
Generating Program (IGP) is the core program of the
organization. AF also works in non-formal education
sector and now implementing Basic Education for
Hard-To-Reach Urban Working Children (BEHTRUWC) in
partnership and with the assistance UNICEF-Bureau of
Non-formal Education,GoB. Depart from these projects, AF
works with agricultural sector program, Housing program
and Health program. Besides, AF undertakes emergency
action with relief and rehabilitation activities during
natural disasters.
We are grateful to our
generous donor agencies who always support AF
initiatives by way of financial and technical supports.
I also convey my earnest thanks and gratitude to
honorable members of General Body, Executive Committee
and all staff members of the organization for their
continuous assistance and cooperation. AF is always
optimistic to establish a poverty free society and
welcome individuals and organizations to join its
journey.
