Annesha Foundation (AF) is a national, non-governmental, non-political and non-profitable but a Private Voluntary Development Organization (PVDO) in Bangladesh established in 1989. AF works for the disadvantaged and marginal poor community people living in the underserved and coastal areas of Bangladesh. AF prioritizes on women empowerment and child development to promote their rights and dignity. The organization is responsive to diverse development needs of stakeholders for their overall development. Microfinance is the flagship program of the organization and it has other social development programs in parallel that include non-formal education, water & sanitation, agriculture and livestock development, housing and environmental development. The organization has also disaster mitigation program for the affected people in order to mitigate suffering and resettlement.
