Annesha Foundation (AF) is a national, non-governmental, non-political and non-profitable but a Private Voluntary Development Organization (PVDO), which emerged on May 27, 1989 with the initiative of some like-minded social workers of different Districts of Bangladesh under the leadership of Mr. Kamolindu Karmokar (Present Director), who is also a renowned social worker and the Founder of the Organization. The word ‘Annesha' means “To find Out the Way to Love the People through Development Activities”. The main objective of the organization is the overall development of the target people or beneficiaries who are living below poverty line. Since the inception, Annesha Foundation (AF) has been proceeding to fulfill the basic needs of the disadvantaged and under privileged people of the society through consciousness raising, local resources utilization, institution building, capital formation, capital building and understanding felt-need based problem solving programs by adopting modern scientific development knowledge and techniques. Annesha Foundation (AF) believes that the success and specific results can be achieved with active and fullest participation of the target people or beneficiaries of the Organization.
